Dirty Old Town Print
This is an officially licensed print. Full permission has been granted from Sony Music.
Celebrate your hometown as wall art with a bold, graphic interpretation of Ewan MacColl’s classic Dirty Old Town.
Ewan MacColl originally wrote Dirty Old Town in 1949, inspired by the rough living conditions he witnessed in Salford at the time. Since then, many people have covered it, including The Dubliners and The Pogues, and even Rod Stewart (before he discovered leopard print pants). The print, created and signed by Alejandro De Luna, reproduces the original lyrics as sung by Ewan MacColl with Peggy Seeger.
